How Many Types of Plastic Cooling Tower Fills?

Plastic cooling tower fills are the core component of the cooling tower. It is mainly used to increase the contact area between water and air, extend the heat exchange time and thereby improve cooling efficiency.

  • What're the features?

1.Efficient heat dissipation

The specially designed corrugated or honeycomb structure increases the water film area and enhances air-water heat exchange.

2.Strong corrosion resistance

Most made of PVC, PP materials, it is acid and alkali resistant and anti-aging and is suitable for harsh environments such as chemical industry and sea water.

3.Lightweight and durable

It is lightweight (low density), easy to install and has better impact resistance than traditional metal fillers.

4.Low resistance and energy saving

Optimize the structural design to reduce wind resistance and reduce fan energy consumption.

5.Anti-fouling and self-cleaning

Smooth surfaces or antifouling coatings to reduce scale and algae buildup.

  • Common used types

S wave cooling tower fills
1. Performance and purpose

This filler has a novel structural design, a large hydrophilic area and good cooling effect. It is mainly used for industrial countercurrent cooling towers and hyperbolic cement cooling towers in power plants.

Applicable temperature: 65 ºC~-35 ºC

Good flame retardant performance, oxygen index ≥ 30

2. Specifications:

Length: 800-1400mm

Width: 500mm

Plastic sheet thickness: 0.40-0.60mm

Trapezoidal fills
1.Performance:
The stepped trapezoidal oblique wave packing is designed by the Cooling Water Research Institute of the Water Conservancy and Electric Power Research Institute. The cross-section of this packing sheet is trapezoidal oblique wave, which improves the steam water deflection in the packing and slows down the water film splashing speed. It prolongs the heat exchange time in the packing and improves the heat dissipation performance. It has good comprehensive performance. The channel area is large, the bonding is firm, and the overall assembly stiffness is good. It can be widely used in industrial cooling towers. Our factory currently produces two materials: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP).

Applicable temperature: 65 ºC~-35 ºC

Good flame retardant performance, oxygen index ≥ 30

2.Specification
Overall dimensions: width 250,300,350,400mm, length unlimited.
Sheet thickness: 0.35-0.5mm

Cross flow tower point wave fills
1. Point wave packing is used for cross flow cooling towers, with air inlet on both sides.
2. The material of the point wave filler is polyvinyl chloride, with a temperature resistance of 60 degrees Celsius.
3. The spacing of point wave fillers is 18.5mm, with a thickness of 0.28mm, and 54 pieces per meter are used.
4. The specifications are 500 * 900,500 * 1000,500 * 1100,500 * 1200500 * 1300,500 * 1400,500 * 1500.
5. Dot wave fillers can be used for adhesive bonding or for hanging through bars.

Filler for inclined wave cooling tower fills
